Yep, in this game you can only walk backwards.
没错,在这个游戏里你只能后退。
So it’s a short and relatively minimalist experiment combining motion and narrative.
这是一个结合动作和叙述的简短而抽象的尝试。
It’s less advanced than the previous game, but it actually seems to be more focused, more complete.
它没有上一个游戏复杂,但感觉更专注,更完整。
Coda’s trying to give it a unique voice rather than simply basing it on a pre-existing trope.
不满足基于已有的比喻,Coda想要赋予它独特之处。

The past was behind her
往昔藏于她身后
But the future could not be seen
然未来尚不可见
Why does the future keep changing?
何故未来瞬息万变?
只能倒着走对手残很不友好。

When she stops and looks it becomes clearer
当她驻足而视,一切了然于前
But if the future is always behind her
如若未来总在她身后逡巡不前
How will she find the strength
她又如何寻觅到那股力量
To confront it?
径直面对这一切?
远处有一扇门,看起来是我要去的终点。但我只能后退着走过去。
上一张图片中还没有这些字,看起来这些字是走到对应位置才会出现的。
转过头看看,离门很近了。
但走到头时,转过身,发现原本的门不见了,变成了这句文字。并且看完这句,此作品就自动黑屏结束了。

It’s a short little thought, it says what it wants to say, and then it ends.
这是个小小的想法,它表达了想表达的,然后就结束了。
Didn’t need anything more than that!
除此以外都是多余的!
Which to me is why it works, because it gets out quick.
所以我认为它很成功,因为它结束得很快。
