近幾天，《邊緣行者》製作人本間悟與導演今石洋之接受了Famitsu採訪，透露了一些劇本以及續作方面的消息。
今石洋之表示，CDPR給了他們一個早期的劇本，如果作為遊戲來玩的話，看起來很有趣，但是做成動畫不一定有吸引力，在與CDPR協商後，他們更改了劇本。劇情的前半部分主要是按照CDPR的想法來推進，在後半部分中，扳機社的作出的更改更多，例如最後重錘的登場。
在談到遊戲主角時，本間悟表示遊戲主角的背景設定是CDPR的想法，他們對劇情的要求之一是“如果與夜之城為敵，那你將輸的一敗塗地”，從一開始就奠定了主角會輸的基調，而且CDPR的原定結局比現在的更慘。
對於後續續作的問題，本間悟表示，該動畫是個獨立劇集，並沒有在製作續作，但是他個人是很想繼續和日本工作室合作的。
