我很高兴地宣布，《海市蜃楼之馆 The House in Fata Morgana》在steam上的销量已超过10万份。这个数字不包含外传等衍生作品及其他平台上的销量。我非常感谢大家的支持。
为了庆祝突破10万份大关，我们请画师兼宗（Kanemune）创作了一幅精美的插图。敬请欣赏。
我还想和大家聊点其他的。从一件可能看起来有些另类的事说起，我最初对公布销量有些犹豫。我觉得销量无论高低，都可能成为作品的标签，影响人们对作品的看法。就我个人而言，我并不喜欢看到某部作品把销量或开发成本等数字公开作为营销手段。现在想想我当初可能是觉得做好作品就行，不用在意销量等等现实因素。我知道这听起来像是我把事情弄得太复杂了。
不过，后来我改变了自己的观点。10万确实是个不小的数字，单靠开发者是无法达到的。尤其是这款游戏得到了日本以外玩家的鼎力支持。这项成果离不开各位汉化人员、发行商以及通过评论和安利不断支持我们的玩家。这是一个值得感谢的数字，我相信大家都会为此感到自豪。因此我决定以庆祝的形式把这件事告诉大家。
英文版于2016年5月登陆steam，距今已有近 7 年时间。老实说，起初卖得并不好。有很多个月甚至没卖出一百份，有段时间我感觉很对不起MangaGamer（steam上显示其为发行商），因为辜负了他们翻译如此长篇作品做出的努力。好在随着时间的推移，大家热情的安利逐渐传播开来，汉化志愿者出现了，作品支持了更多的语言（包含简中），我们甚至将其移植到了主机上。现在，它已经成为一款受到全世界许多人喜爱的作品。我真的觉得这是一部由大家共同培育的作品。
在这漫长的岁月里，NOVECT（前身为 Novectacle）曾几度面临倒闭。然而，正是因为有了大家的支持，我们才能继续开展活动，并在开发新项目方面取得稳步进展。虽然销量确实对我们帮助很大，但更重要的是大家对我们的支持一直在推动着我们前进！

I'm thrilled to announce that "The House in Fata Morgana" has sold over 100,000 copies on Steam. This figure does not include other media, spin-offs, or series titles, only Steam sales. I am deeply grateful for everyone's support.

I'd like to share a bit more. To start with something that might seem offbeat, I was initially hesitant about publicizing sales figures. I felt that numbers, whether good or bad, might become a tagline for the work and skew its perception. Personally, I've never been a fan of marketing that pushes the magnitude of numbers like sales figures or development costs to the forefront. I think I wanted to maintain the work in a fantastical world, separate from these realities. I’m aware this might sound like I’m overcomplicating things.
However, I've since reconsidered my views. 100,000 is indeed a significant number, one that couldn't have been reached by the developers alone. Particularly, this title has received immense support from international audiences. This achievement is thanks to the many translators who worked on various language versions, publisher, and players who have continually supported us through reviews and word of mouth. It's a number that deserves gratitude and one that I believe everyone should take pride in. That's why I decided to report it as a celebration.
The English version appeared on Steam in May 2016, nearly seven years ago. To be honest, it wasn’t an instant success. There were many months when sales didn’t even hit a hundred copies, and I felt apologetic to MangaGamer for not living up to their efforts in translating such a lengthy work. Over time, however, passionate word-of-mouth recommendations spread, volunteer translators emerged, additional languages were supported, and we even expanded to consoles. Now, it has grown into a title cherished by many around the world. I truly feel that it’s a work raised by all of you.
Throughout this lengthy period, there have been several moments where the existence of NOVECT was in danger. However, it is thanks to all of you that we are still able to continue our activities and make steady progress in developing new projects. While tangible sales figures do offer a form of support, it is more significantly the individual messages of support that have been driving us forward.
