世嘉和Sonic Team旗下作品《索尼克：未知邊境》仍在積極進行後續內容開發。近日，有記者在推特上表示本作如果引入“plus版本”的話應該會很不錯，遊戲監督岸本守央隨即發表回應。
岸本守央首先表達感激之情，並請玩家耐心等待更新檔的發佈，暗示應該不需要等太長時間。岸本守央表示：“抱歉這個更新檔讓玩家等這麼久，第一彈更新檔的製作正在努力開發中，相信大家一定會很喜歡，請耐心等待一段時間。”
雖然《索尼克：未知邊境》在上市之後收穫了不錯的關注度，但岸本守央對更新檔的內容並沒有透露太多，而且最重要的上市日期也完全沒有消息。
《索尼克：未知邊境》的銷量已經突破290萬份，開發者短期內應該還會繼續對本作進行支持。
