世嘉和Sonic Team旗下作品《索尼克：未知边境》仍在积极进行后续内容开发。近日，有记者在推特上表示本作如果引入“plus版本”的话应该会很不错，游戏监督岸本守央随即发表回应。
岸本守央首先表达感激之情，并请玩家耐心等待更新档的发布，暗示应该不需要等太长时间。岸本守央表示：“抱歉这个更新档让玩家等这么久，第一弹更新档的制作正在努力开发中，相信大家一定会很喜欢，请耐心等待一段时间。”
虽然《索尼克：未知边境》在上市之后收获了不错的关注度，但岸本守央对更新档的内容并没有透露太多，而且最重要的上市日期也完全没有消息。
《索尼克：未知边境》的销量已经突破290万份，开发者短期内应该还会继续对本作进行支持。
