如果说席奥是一个成绩优异的好学生（天赋异禀，不满足于仅仅掌握骨钉技艺，转而搞起艺术），而奥罗则是一个资质较差但十分努力的成绩不太好的学生（由于天赋不够，只能刻苦学习来证明自己），那么马托，大概就是一个中规中矩的中等生了吧，安安静静地跟着老师学习，不引人注目，但却对骨钉技艺有着自己的一份理解，乃至最后成为了像老师一样的人，热衷于向有志青年（小骑士）教授骨钉技艺，也正因如此，他对三兄弟的决裂感到惋惜和不解（就像他老师一样），却又无能为力，最后也只能和其他两位兄弟一样，选择了一个偏远的地方（呼啸山崖），静静的呆着，选择让时间来冲淡这一切。
可以看看他们三兄弟对小骑士来学习剑技时的态度：
席奥：想学剑技吗，想学我可以教你，不想学啊，我们也可以搞艺术啊，都挺有趣的。
奥罗：想学剑技？你必须得先交钱，我辛辛苦苦学到的东西怎么能让你白嫖了呢
马托：快来学剑技啊，你现在就是我的徒弟了，不要害怕学不会，我当初也是和你一样的，gkd，gkd，我马上给你上课。
面对同一样事物，三类人，三种态度，三种人生，三种追求，没有孰好孰坏，孰对孰错。
罗素曾说：参差多态乃幸福本源。正因为有了不同，这个世界才显得多姿多彩，这个世界才显得生机勃勃，充满活力。如果人人都成绩优异，人人考试都考满分，人人都踏踏实实，安安稳稳的上学工作，结婚生子，安享晚年，这样的世界不免缺乏点乐趣。三兄弟教给我们的，不仅仅是三个剑技，更是对世界，对不同的人生的一种豁达的生活态度。
生平
马托位于呼啸山崖的一间小屋内，可以向他学习到旋风斩，旋风斩可以通过按攻击键来延长持续时间，也是三个剑技中，伤害最高的剑技（伤害打满的情况下）。马托把小骑士当作自己的孩子，他还对小骑士向他的兄弟学来的剑技进行了评价。在神居，他和奥罗一同出现，并肩作战。
