隨著2000年懷舊情緒在近日達到頂點，電子遊戲編劇David Gaider呼籲復刻2009年的《龍騰世紀：起源》。
《龍騰世紀：起源》曾被IGN評為最佳現代RPG遊戲之一David Gaider是Bioware《龍騰世紀：起源》的首席編劇和設定主創，後續參與了《龍騰世紀2》和《龍騰世紀：審判》的開發。
在Twitter上，Gaider寫道：“如果我們正在重新制作從2000年代開始的遊戲，那麼《龍騰世紀：起源》呢?即使在當時發行時，它的圖形也落後於潮流......你能想象它加入了全新的PS5時代特效和花哨效果嗎?”
在回覆一些其他Twitter用戶時，Gaider放低了《龍騰世紀》重新制作的可能性。他說：“我猜EA只會在他們認為它會像鍍金的熱餅一樣暢銷時才會這麼做。他們從來沒有真正理解《龍騰世紀》的魅力，也沒有理解為什麼它的銷量比《質量效應》好。”
