随着2000年怀旧情绪在近日达到顶点，电子游戏编剧David Gaider呼吁复刻2009年的《龙腾世纪：起源》。
《龙腾世纪：起源》曾被IGN评为最佳现代RPG游戏之一David Gaider是Bioware《龙腾世纪：起源》的首席编剧和设定主创，后续参与了《龙腾世纪2》和《龙腾世纪：审判》的开发。
在Twitter上，Gaider写道：“如果我们正在重新制作从2000年代开始的游戏，那么《龙腾世纪：起源》呢?即使在当时发行时，它的图形也落后于潮流......你能想象它加入了全新的PS5时代特效和花哨效果吗?”
在回复一些其他Twitter用户时，Gaider放低了《龙腾世纪》重新制作的可能性。他说：“我猜EA只会在他们认为它会像镀金的热饼一样畅销时才会这么做。他们从来没有真正理解《龙腾世纪》的魅力，也没有理解为什么它的销量比《质量效应》好。”
