頑皮狗 聯合總裁 Neil Druckmann在做客Kinda Funny的播客節目時透露，頑皮狗已經開始開始製作下一款遊戲了，但Neil Druckmann暗示這款作品不是《最後生還者3》。
Neil Druckmann稱：“我知道粉絲們很想要《最後生還者3》，我一直能聽到這些聲音，我只能說我們已經進入下一個項目了，決定已經做出，我不能透露它是什麼。我們考慮了很多不同的東西，然後選擇了讓我們最興奮的項目”。
Neil Druckmann 還提到，頑皮狗並沒有受到來自索尼的壓力，讓他們去開發續作，因此頑皮狗會按照自己的想法制作遊戲，嘗試一些不同的項目，不會一味的響應玩家的需求。
《最後生還者3》何時能被提上日程，Neil Druckmann並沒有回應。

Vice President Neil Druckmann, speaking at the Kinda Funny Spoilercast, confirmed that the developer company had already decided what its next PS5 project would be, and while he couldn’t reveal what it would be, he explained that the team had chosen the game it collectively “most pleased”. Elsewhere in the interview, he revealed that Naughty Dog has been restructured to allow it to develop multiple games at the same time, as evidenced by the fact that it released The Last of Us: Part 1 last year and has a standalone multiplayer game in development. He added that the studio now has a large number of producers, game directors and writers, which allows it to be more organized in general. Druckmann hasn’t confirmed whether The Last of Us: Part 3 will be the team’s next game or not, but he acknowledged that the demand for a third game continues, and given the TV show’s huge success, it’s hard to imagine anything else at the moment.
