A few days ago, large archives of data on STALKER 2 were posted online. Not only art and screenshots appeared in the public domain, but also plot details, a map, and much more. The developers themselves commented on the leak, asking fans not to pay attention to it, while confirming that the account of one of the employees was hacked. However, according to Daniil Nexus, known for STALKER 2 leaks, the leak was more massive than the developers are trying to imagine. According to him, some developers from the GSC Game World studio “kindly provided” data on the game, which is why the leak is of such a scale – it is not the result of a banal hack by STALKER 2 employees. In the same interview, Nexus notes that after the mass leak, the development of STALKER 2 was put on hold while the studio is investigating the leaks. Previously, Nexus reported that the game is now no more than 25% ready, while even the development team itself does not have an understanding of the release date. Recall that they promise to release STALKER 2 still in 2023 – on the Xbox Series X | S and PC, straight to Game Pass.
