Daredevil is now a playable character in the recently released remaster of the popular Spider-Man by developer Insomniac Games. Fans of the franchise have long wanted to assume the role of Daredevil, but in the absence of an actual game, the eponymous mod from a user on NexusMods going by TheRealiceMage will have to do the trick. “Here it is,” TheRealiceMage explains. “The first model custom importation in the game! I am super excited to release this! Daemon has publicly released his model importation tool for anyone to use, so go check it out!” RELATED: Nexus Mods Banning The Homophobic Spider-Man Modder Sets A Benchmark For Gaming Players are able to install the mod by using a program called Spider-Man PC Tool by the previously mentioned software engineer known as Daemon. “You will need to use Spider-Man PC Tool to install this mod,” The RealiceMage notes. “Extract the ZIP file and use the Mod Manager option to install. Add the mod file, tick the check box next to it, and press Install Mods.” The entire process of installation is in fact remarkably simple. When players are ready to return to the vanilla version of the game, they can easily remove the mod from Spider-Man. “Untick the checkbox next to the mod file inside the Mod Manager and press Install Mods to Game,” TheRealiceMage remarks. Similar to so many mods, Daredevil comes with a few caveats in the form of some bugs and glitches. According to TheRealiceMage, the “model can turn into a bunch of random polygons when far away,” so players should avoid long leaps and big swings in order to enjoy the optimal experience. Daredevil already exists in the game world despite the character never actually encountering Spider-Man during the campaign. Players can find the office owned by Foggy Nelson and Matt Murdock in the district known as Hell’s Kitchen, something which has of course been fueling speculation that Daredevil could be featured in the upcoming Spider-Man 2.
