© This week’s Hogwarts Legacy official announcements reveal more information about the four students who will be our companions in the game. The other day we were told the story of the famous Sebastian Sallow and his twin sister Anna, who has a powerful spell. This time, it was Gryffindor student Natsai’s turn to be the center of attention. Hogwarts is obviously not the only school of magic that exists in the world created by J.K. Rowling. If you have read the books or watched the 4th Harry Potter movie, you probably remember the French school Beauxbatons or Durmstrang, famous for their teaching of dark magic. There are others such as Ilvermorny in Canada, Castelobrucho in Brazil, Mahotokoro in Japan, or Ouagadu in Africa. It is the latter that interests us in this case. In the books, Ouagadu is described as a school carved into the mountains and permanently hidden by mist, so that it seems to float in the air. It is located in Uganda, Africa and was founded over 1000 years ago. A big feature of this school is the use of a magic wand: students don’t need one and prefer to use their hands and fingers to handle the magic! It would be very interesting to see Natsuya in Hogwarts Legacy being able to cast spells without a wand. The teaching staff at Hogwarts is just as important as their students. So, from a recent tweet, we learn that Natsai’s mother is actually a divination teacher, and that she was transferred to Hogwarts: Wise, quick-witted and driven by a need for justice, Natsai grew up in Matabeleland, Africa, where she attended Ouagado, the world’s largest wizarding school. She transferred to Hogwarts when her mother became a Divination teacher at the school, and is now adjusting to her new life in Scotland. We’ve already seen Nutsai several times in trailers and images of the game. She is our Gryffindor companion, with whom we can complete an optional quest: probably the one where you need to save the hippogriff from poachers.
