Not stopping and instead pressing the gas at high speed, CD Projekt Red immediately involved itself with so many giant projects that deserve to be anticipated. As we know, they have shared the big roadmap they are currently working on, from the sequel series for Cyberpunk 2077, the remake project for the first The Witcher, and of course the sequel series for the latest The Witcher which will trigger the next trilogy. Some details have been shared, including the engine change to Unreal Engine 5. Now CD Projekt Red shares a clearer release window. In their latest financial report, CD Projekt Red confirmed that The Witcher 1 Remake from Fool’s Theory will only be released after the latest The Witcher (The Witcher 4) has been released to the market. The reason? Because the remake series will be built based on technology from The Witcher 4. The initial development process will run in parallel, but once The Witcher 4 is released and complete, some of this technology will be transferred to The Witcher 1 Remake. But as one might predict, neither has a date or just a planned year of release. The Witcher 4 will launch earlier than The Witcher 1 Remake. The Witcher 4 itself is believed to no longer contain Geralt as the main character and will carry an original story that is no longer simply adapted from the novel version. How about you? Between The Witcher 1 Remake or The Witcher 4, which project do you anticipate the most? Source: PC Gamer
