Since the announcement of Fable in 2020, the Xbox team has not shared details about the project. It is known that a separate Playground Games team, created specifically for this project, is responsible for the creation of the game. However, it is not known at what stage the development is now, just as the new Fable does not have an estimated release date. The media noticed that Vijay Gill, producer of the Playground Games studio, pointed out the playable state of Fable in his LinkedIn profile. He noted that the studio is engaged in “preparing and conducting regular playthroughs of the game and creating reviews with key stakeholders.” Vijay Gill has been producing Fable since October 2022. He also has various other tasks, including work on gameplay, technical design, animation, and so on. In September 2022, the head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty, stated that the game already has “a lot done.”
