The scenes ended with a moment of shock and a “Game Over” screen, followed by the “A Hideo Kojima Game… Overdose” overlay. The report seemed credible and Kojima Productions even asked for it to be removed. But who is responsible for the leak? According to Henderson, there was a private Discord server owned by game developers who weren’t involved in this project, but where the images appeared briefly before being deleted from the server. The show is scheduled for December 8th and will once again be hosted by Geoff Keighley. We probably won’t get any real explanation about the game with the teaser either. After all, it had been years before we saw a more meaningful story trailer for Death Stranding. It is also questionable whether the project is aimed at PlayStation players: In June 2022 Xbox and Kojima Productions announced a new partnership, during which Kojima will create a new video game for Xbox like “no one has experienced or seen before.” The title should use the possibilities of the cloud.
