And good ones.” !” Keith Ellis and Christa Yang, previous co-hosts of Nintendo’s official YouTube show “Nintendo Minute”, were equally excited. “We just got out of the movie,” Young said in a video posted to Twitter. “Oh my God, it was incredible.” Director Deondre Aviles said the film was “perfect” and gave it a 10/10, adding, “I haven’t felt this way about an animated film since The Lego Movie in 2014. Amazing animation and music by Brian Tyler. It’s going to be epic .Give me the Cinematic Universe!”. Atom, a Twitter account dedicated to film reviews and news, called the film “an enchanting adventure with the Nintendo plumbing duo, full of hilarious cameos that will empty your warp pipes”. “It’s not just another video game movie,” he added, “it’s one of the best family movies out there,” with “a fitting ending that talks about what happens next.” While most of the verdicts were positive, there were some negative reviews as well. Gizmodo entertainment reporter Germain Lussier said: “I really wanted to like it, but I didn’t. A few solid scenes capture the spirit of the game, but basically it’s just too stupid, a bare plot filled with bad jokes and bad song choices.” Originally scheduled for April 7th, Super Mario Bros. Movie has been moved to April 5th in the US and over 60 markets worldwide, including the UK.
