今年發售的功夫動作遊戲《師父》將被改編成真人電影，由約翰·威克的創作者德里克·科爾斯塔德製作。
《師父》述了一位年輕的功夫學徒踏上覆仇之路、追查謀殺他家人兇手的故事。孤身面對千軍萬馬，他沒有盟友，只有無數的敵人。他必須倚仗自己對功夫的獨特理解，以及一個神秘的墜飾來取得勝利，並且保護家族的傳承。
該遊戲於PC與PS5發售，2022年11月9日，遊戲支持中文配音。
© 2022 indie martial arts game Sifu is getting a big-screen adaptation by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. According to Deadline, Kolstad’s production company, Story Kitchen, has secured the rights to adapt Sifu. Kolstad, best known for creating the John Wick film series, is also hard at work bringing the classic beat’em-up video game series Streets of Rage to the big screen. The adaptation was recently purchased by Lionsgate. Sifu tells a classic martial arts story set in contemporary China. At its core is the child of a shifu (master) of a martial arts school who is determined to bring justice to those responsible for his father’s death. It’s unclear how much the movie will match the events told in the game. A very video game twist to this story is that every time the hero dies, he is resurrected by a magical talisman, but every time he comes back to life, he gets older.
