The Witcher And Cyberpunk: Cd Projekt Franchises Have Sold 85 Million Copies In All In the last meeting with the shareholders, CD Projekt RED has revealed that the franchises of The Witcher and Cyberpunk have totaled the beauty of to date 85 million copies sold worldwide. Despite the chain of problems it caused at launch, Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge hit for CD Projekt RED thanks to the 20 million units placed to date, or as many as the first two chapters of The Witcher. The company has now confirmed that all of its four games combined have sold as many as 85 million copies, a figure just over that of Monster Hunter, a franchise that totaled 84 million units sold for Capcom. “We delivered four deep and memorable games which continue to attract more and more players. We are proud to announce that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 20 million copies. With that, we’ve collectively sold over 85 million units of our four flagship games so far, “said CD Projekt president Adam Kicinski at a recent strategy meeting. The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt alone has racked up 45 million copies, follow Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 1 and 2 tied with 20 million each. Kicinski says this encouraging data helps reaffirm the independence of the company on the market: “Thanks to full creative and financial independence, we really feel that our future is in our hands. It is deeply motivating.” In the last few hours, a rumor had spread that Sony would repeatedly try to acquire CD Projekt.
