最近外网博主Bigby爆料了《霍格沃茨之遗》的主线时长约为35小时左右，100%进度需要75小时。
《霍格沃茨之遗》的PC、XSX、PS5版本将要在2月10日正式发售，而PS4和X1版本则是4月4日，至于NS版本则还要等到半年后的7月25日才能上市。
《霍格沃茨之遗》游戏背景设定于1800年代，玩家可以选择自己的霍格沃茨学院，并在霍格沃茨魔法学校上课。
在游戏中，玩家可以探索《哈利波特》系列小说中的知名地点，学会施放各种魔法咒语、制作魔法药水、驯服魔法动物并掌握其他战斗能力。
